San Marco Residence by Ross Garden Design Located in the lovely San Marco neighborhood in Jacksonville, the San Marco Residence by Ross Garden Design embodies collaborating beauty with functional landscaping. This voluminous landscape reached a new level by converting a little outdoor area into a spectacular urban oasis, with consideration to the family’s lives and taste. To underscore sustainability, while encouraging more biodiversity locally, we chose native plants and vegitation that we carefully curated. We employed a palette of flowering shrubs, ornamental grasses, and trees which provide shade and beauty throughout the seasons. Natural stone pathways and reclaimed wood raised beds were used, which provided texture and warmth in the landscape, as well as quality material choices. One of the primary obstacles of the was resolving gross elevation and drainage issue of the site, which could have flooded the integrity of the garden. Our capable team planned a successful drainage effort that involved French drains and minor excavating for swales in certain areas of the landscape, that redirected flow. Not only did this work preserve the landscaping integrity, but it also ultimately improved the site for functionality. The crown jewel of the San Marco Residence was the unique outdoor living space feet. The striking patio is equipped with a fire pit built in, and seating for relaxation and entertaining. The clients could enjoy the evening engaging with family or guests or simply star-gazing, with the flames in their sights. Furthermore, we build a water feature that added another element worth consideration with a calming, audible aspect and even drew some local wildlife. This culminated in a breathtaking landscape which embodied a sincere vision of the homeowner's, and elevated their enjoyability of life. Quality craftsmanship and attentive have created a landscape like none other in San Marco, which the clients are delighted by, always utilizing their crafted functional yard, which enhanced their home beautifully, merging with nature and showcasing the features of Ross Garden Design.
