This was a transformation , starting with an aspiration of providing a beautiful outdoor living space that was both functional and visually appealing. The completed design features many native plants indigenous to Florida, chosen for their eye-catching colors and durability, for year-round interest and low-water use. Natural flagstone paths wind through the garden, inviting guests to walk and explore the planted beds. Custom wood trellises incorporated climbing vines to balance the landscape and provide vertical interest; layering is visually impactful. The faced complex drainage issues due to the uneven terrain. Our team designed terracing and drainage solutions to maintain proper water flow and prevent erosion of the landscaping. The materials chosen were durable and sustainable and complemented the beauty of the as it works into the surroundings. The client loves the final result and is proud to have guests and family in their garden. There are spaces to relax and sip coffee with the peacefulness of a garden, or watch butterflies and hummingbirds visiting all the flower beds. The San Marco is another example of Ross Garden Design's commitment to excellence and affordable living in Jacksonville. This backyard landscape not only improved the overall aesthetic of the home, but also created a place for relaxing and enjoying nature by themself or with family or friends.
