Outdoor Spa Oasis by Nick Martin Landscape Architect Inc. Located in the scenic area of Rancho Santa Fe, the 'Outdoor Spa Oasis' by Nick Martin Landscape Architect Inc. converted a typical backyard into a high-end spa retreat. The design endeavors to combine with the surrounding beauty of the natural landscape while offering that create a sense of peace and relaxation through the landscaping. An amazing infinity-edge spa is at its center, surrounded by a custom stone patio built from locally sourced flagstone for performance and durability while blending with the environmental surroundings. Privacy in the area, as well as the ecological footprint of the landscape, was a part of the plan, utilizing lush flora which includes a variety of native drought-tolerant plants like California lilac, agave, and other selections. A calming water feature with a waterfall was an additional element as a soft sound for calming the spa space. Topography was another challenge in the , and the site had elevation changes which were managed with respect to proper drainage and stability that fit the site while keeping an aesthetic aspect to the landscape. A natural stone retaining wall formation and contour grading were utilized in the design to create visual interest while addressing potential erosion concerns. The end product is a striking outdoor place that blends luxury with nature and provides the client with a unique experience to get away from their typical routines. Taking into consideration the outdoor lighting to give a warm white glow at dusk suggests the exquisite attention to detail crafting, quality, and design work on recognizable to Nick Martin Landscape Architect Inc.
