Authors Recent , Bellevue Residence A trifecta of quality, design, innovation, and something that makes hearts happy, Folia Horticultural + Design is pleased to present the Bellevue Residence, a home reimagined. In this case, a little better outdoor living space was exactly the goal of this in Bellevue, where a tired outdoor living space has received a renovation with the goal of mixing function and nature. A true highlight of this landscape design, the hardscaping in this is beautifully executed. The patio and walkways are made of natural stone that we sourced locally, offering an organic look that works with the lush landscape. This custom fire pit creates a natural gathering area which is perfect for hosting friends and family while enjoying the beauty of the starry Pacific Northwest skies. Working with the slope on the original site, our design team embraced the challenge and created tiered garden beds. Not only are these beds easy on the eyes, but they are also used to control drainage. In order to increase biodiversity in the landscape, we chose a range of locally climatic suitable native plants with low maintenance needs to ensure that the garden stays a lively space throughout the year. The involved the installation of strategic lighting with the concept of showcasing focal points in the garden and providing an inviting ambience during the night. We ensured every single aspect of outdoor space was covered in terms of high quality with LED fixtures thus giving the aesthetics of outdoor space not just a touch but a feel of elegance. The Bellevue Residence became a private retreat filled with serenity and grace when we were finished and our clients were thrilled. They shared how they thrilled by their new outdoor oasis, which flows right into their way of living.
