About This Project

Latest Washington Park Residence by Folia Horticultural + Design Folia Horticultural + Design faced a significant landscaping challenge in Washington Park that blended beauty with site function. We were commissioned to breathe life into a worn out, overgrown yard and formulate an urban oasis that showcases the beauty of the Pacific Northwest. A variety of native plants that would encourage biodiversity and flourish in the local weather conditions were included in the . Our design featured an incredible variety of hardscape, with natural stone paths and luxurious seating areas made with sustainably sourced materials. These not only beautify the space but also encourage sitting and socialising. The steep topography of the property was one of the biggest hurdles we had to overcome. We tackled both with a series of terraced garden beds that stabilized the grade and introduced layers of texture and color. Their inventive solution worked with the landscape's contours to maximize space with functional garden plots & adequate draining to avoid erosion & promote healthy plants. As well as the hardscape and plant choice, we installed an efficient irrigation system which conserves water whilst ensuring each plant is cared for individually. Part of our dedication to sustainable and responsible landscaping practices. The end result was a stunning green space that our clients loved, providing them with an oasis right outside their front door. Now, thanks to bright flowers and greenery, along with spaces that encourage an outdoor lifestyle, the refurbished Washington Park Residence is a home designed for both family gatherings and quiet contemplation.
