Mediterranean Home Landscape in Houston, TX Gregory/Henry Landscapes is excited to complete the Mediterranean Home Landscape , a masterpiece of revitalized American charm that beautifully exemplifies the peaceful nature of Mediterranean design. Serving the communities of Bellaire, Bunker Hill Village, Cypress and beyond, it was a labor of love to design a verdant outdoor retreat that harmoniously meshed with the architecture of the home. The space is a delightful combination of native Texan plant material, including bougainvillea, herbs and olive trees embodying Mediterranean warmth. The pathways and terrace areas utilize stone pavers and terracotta planters of the utmost quality, creating relaxing areas for people to gather. One of the obstacles we had to overcome on this was using plants that are appropriate to Houston's climate, humidity and rain. Through lots of planning and a robust drainage system to care for the life of the plants visually, we carefully considered the aesthetics of the plant material and longevity. At the end of the design exercise, the space turned out spectacularly. A water feature, encouraging the sound of gentle water rippling, also creates value in the lush plant material around it. The warm color palette of the plant materials combined with artisan stonework creates a welcoming essence for residents as well as for guests. We have produced excellent workmanship and detail that enhanced our clients' experience while also improving the overall appeal of their home, create a true 'Mediterranean' experience in the heart of Houston.
