The estate, situated on a large property, was transformed into a breathtaking tribute to a traditional English garden, with symmetrical layouts, glorious greenery, and colorful blooms. Key features of this included the installation of classic boxwood hedges that gave formal geometry to the space, and the curation of lovely flower beds filled with seasonal perennials and annuals. We sourced the highest-quality native plants to ensure sustainability as well as aesthetic appeal in enhancing the estate's landscape. Fine stone pathways made of locally sourced bluestone - specifically aligned as pathways to the garden - meandered through the space providing an invitation to come experience the landscape itself. One of the more significant challenges we faced for this was the differences in the topography of the estate. As a solution, we incorporated excellent grading solutions for the space while still maintaining symmetry and framework to the garden to resolve access at various elevations. Our team developed terraced areas that not only solved the elevation issues, but also created depth and more movement within the garden itself. The concluded with an exceptionally stunning water feature. A classic fountain became the action element to animate the garden space that was surrounded by ornamental grasses and flowering perennials. This small water feature not only brings peace and tranquility to the garden but supports local wildlife, fostering a more dynamic ecosystem for species such as birds, insects, and pollinators. Overall, the was a successful marriage of beauty and functionality obtained from an effort to create a peaceful retreat destination of a classic English garden.
