Insight: Old Magnolia Farm Private Residence R. Youngblood & Co. is proud to take your outdoors, in whatever capacity, to beautiful landscapes in accordance with your vision. The Old Magnolia Farm, located at the heart of Oakland Township, is one example of our ongoing commitment to quality and craftsmanship. The large property was an expansive condition to be creative; there was lots of lawn with a beautiful, classic farmhouse. The dificult thing was to incorporate modern elements without losing the rustic character of the property. In planning and designing the landscape, we carefully considered how the landscape photographs the original architecture while using locally sourced stone for paths and retaining walls and exotic landscaping that supports local species. The landscape features an elegant water feature that acts as a focal point that draw the eye and creates a potentially therapeutic sound. Handpicked magnolia trees were strategically placed to frame views, add seasonal interest, and cultural meaning. A selection of perennials and ornamental grasses round out the tactile landscapes with color, texture, and motion. And, for entertaining guests, the outdoor living area features custom built seating and fire pits. The result is a beautiful respite, a true skill in magnificence and comfort.
