About This Project

New Garden Landscaping & Nursery: Greensboro: Patio Re-do New Garden Landscaping & Nursery turned a tired outdoor area in Greensboro into a fabulous patio paradise. We were fortunate to have a talented team tackle this challenge with far from a perfect substrate, and dated materials to remove that we needed to plan and manage accordingly. The foundation that was previously there was leveled so that we had a very firm basis to start forming the ground out from. In sync with the client's view to have a contemporary yet warm ambiance, we opted natural stone pavers, which is an excellent and long-lasting choice for both aesthetic and practical reasons, along with greenery and flowering plants. Adding in a custom stone fire pit helped create a focal point, and gave everyone a place to gather in the warmth on chilly evenings outdoors. Then to really fancy the area up a bit, we detailed it out with low-maintenance perennial and ornamental grass borders, adding color and texture all year round. The provision of ambient lighting across the patio was a unique touch that enhanced the outdoor experience making it warm and inviting as soon as the sun went down. The greatest difficulty was dealing with the complexities of drainage and ensuring proper water pathways, but we were able to do this well thanks to our knowledge of landscape grading. The end result was a perfect balance of function and form that turned the patio into a cherished space of the home. The client was thrilled, and commented everything from process to completion was handled with outstanding craftsmanship and attention.
