Sterling Design & Landscape Resources Colorful Transformation 'Colorful Transformation' is a centerpiece for Sterling Design & Landscape Resources located in the Houston area. This exuberant transformation turned a dull, monochromatic space into a thriving green space full of life and color. For this special transformation, our skilled team thoughtfully curated a multitude of plants, which included colorful hibiscus, fragrant gardenias, and durable ornamental grasses, to ensure visual interest throughout the entire year. In addition to the plant selection, we utilized native-stone custom paths made from local flagstone to connect the different garden spaces and provide access around the garden. One issue with the site previously was that water collected on-site as a result of poor drainage. Without a drainage solution, the standing water would negatively footprint the entire garden's vitality and plant health. Our experts put together an exciting drainage solution with French drains and dry wells installed discretely to help manage surface water. Not only did we protect the landscape elements from the water issue, but we also enhanced the aesthetics of the garden. Another addition to this garden was our high-efficiency irrigation system, designed to conserve water fixtures and promote sustainable gardening. We also added a comprehensive wood arbor to bring the garden into frame, creativeness in the lines of vertical elements between different engineered bore and space. Overall, by allowing the client's personality to guide selection, we developed a beautiful cohesive landscape. The landscape is filled with color and texture, creating a comfortable and inviting and cozy retreat for family gatherings, relaxing outdoors, and pleasure.
