Type: Breaking Ground Lakeside Rustic Landscape Check out this rustic landscape close to a waterfront barely rusticated which Breaking Ground is very proud to unveil as part of the 'Lakeside Rustic Landscape'. This was developed to fit among the comfortable nature of the service areas (Omaha, Valley, etc.) by complementing the view of the lakeside by creating a space attractive for leisure time. The design incorporates a diverse plant palette, consisting predominantly of native species, selected for their suitability to the local climate and interest throughout the seasons. We used a combination of ornamental grass, flowering perennials and low maintenance shrub varieties that not only fit the theme with an aesthetic but helped to sustain and develop the local wildlife and therefore the local ecosystem. Not surprisingly, a handmade stone path of fieldstone from a local quarry is one of the highlights of this landscape. This path meanders through the garden, inviting exploration while ensuring a natural movement. The team then had to grade the rugged areamaking it level enough to ensure stable movement throughout, but maintaining the wild charm. We created a gathering space featuring a custom fire pit with natural boulders to create an outdoor experience for evenings. The fire pit with reclaimed wooden seating that aligns also with a sustainable aspect of the . We also implemented a drip irrigation system that regulates water so the landscape can stay green but not overuse resources. The clients were extremely happy with the final product of the 'Lakeside Rustic Landscape' which now serves as their retreat, complimenting the natural surrounding. A space where memories can be created for years to come, due to the careful thought process, high-quality materials, and superb craftsmanship that make up many of the design decisions. Breaking Ground is proud to have created that vision with superior landscaping.
