of Holy Cross Landscape (by True North Landscaping) True North Landscaping is excited to share the Holy Cross Landscape located in the heart of Indianapolis. The illustrates the quality aspect and artistry that we strive for when channeling our client's desires into practical reality. The landscape design combines native plantings and hardscape features to enhance the current aesthetics of the home. We specifically chose drought-tolerant perennials, ornamental grasses, and a variety of colorful shrubs to offer the aesthetic appeal that the clients desired while creating an environmentally friendly garden. The design features stonework in the form of a patio made from locally acquired natural stone. It adds character by inviting the clients' family and friends into the homes rather large outdoor living space for summer barbecues. The challenge in the was to resolve the site's drainage issue. It was addressed by the introduction of a rain garden, which improved the functionality of the landscape and the functions of rain gardens are visually appealing. We carefully staged this so that plant and feature compatibility was ensured and biodiversity is represented. The final product is a beautiful landscape merging beauty and function. The Holy Cross Landscape was labor of love and it has become a secluded sanctuary for the clients for years to come.
