River Ridge Situated in the heart of Brevard County, the ‘River Ridge’ is a fine example of how The Master's Touch Landscape and Design focuses on transforming outdoor spaces into amazing outdoor retreats. Within the community of Cape Canaveral, Cocoa, Cocoa Beach, and beyond, the group took on the task of improving the large property with beautiful landscaping and functionality. At River Ridge, we put our heart into creating a multi-lived landscape that flows with the topography of the property, making it a delightful retreat for the homeowners. We focused on using native planting material that would grow well in local climate conditions and with very low maintenance. Quality was built into the by utilizing natural stone pathways, quality mulches in the gardens, and hardscape outdoor lighting. One of the planning challenges was the varied elevation of the property. Our team engineered terraced gardens to incorporate visual interest, improve drainage practices, and reduce soil erosion to promote healthy plant growth. We included a great water feature to tie it all together and create a focal point with the sound of water flowing in their yard. The final outcome is a landscape that celebrates all the senses with beautiful green plant materials, colorful flower beds, and seating areas that make the space pleasurable for company or self-reflection. The homeowners were very pleased with the outcome, claiming that the landscape design reflected their lifestyle and increased the value of their property.
