About This Project

South Beach Update by David Font Design Located in the bustling heart of South Beach, the South Beach Update by David Font Design reinvented outdoor living with innovative, modern landscaping. This grand design STUDYheld a which created a complete transformation of the property exterior which blends the nature with the modernistic approach. The Landscape was designed using native Florida plants best suited for sustainability and low maintenance to enhance the local ecosystem with its foliage. To add to the tropical hideaway feel, there were rows of lush palms and brightly blooming hibiscus, along with fragrant gardenias strategically planted to serve as a natural, scented wall, protecting the seating area from prying eyes, noises and humid air. Being situated on a sloped site, the careful integration of tiered planting beds and decorative retaining walls of quality natural stone were expertly handled by our team in order to overcome this challenge. By breaking up the unbroken green this provided both aesthetics and better drainage reducing possible erosion issues without impacting the land form. The pathways were created using permeable pavers to manage stormwater runoff while providing a stable and aesthetically pleasing surface for foot traffic. This included a well-crafted outdoor living area complete with a custom fire pit surrounded by comfortable seating for entertaining family and friends. Ambient light, integrated into the landscape, added to the outdoor experience and made a magical setting after sunset. The result was ultimately a beautiful singular landscape that tied the South Beach Update together with the architecture of the property like a glove. The very pleased customer commented that not only does the transition look amazing but that they also get use and enjoyment of their outside areas that quite simply never worked before. Delivering a with quality modeling and design abilities catering to the niche needs of our heroine clients in our South Florida area is a huge feather in the cap for David Font Design.
