About This Project

- Greensboro NC Raised Patio Hawkins Landscape Architecture/TriadGarden recently completed the 'Greensboro NC Raised Patio' in the heart of Greensboro, NC, which exemplifies what happens when function and beauty collide. The goal was to use this outdoor living structure to upgrade our clients' little nook in the backyard into more of an extension of indoor living into outdoor living. The raised patio is made of natural stone pavers, which are also warm in color, with brown, green, and beige tones flows well with the landscaping. The patio is visually pleasing, and the patio incorporates dry laid pavers that will withstand the test of time. Warm earth tones worked well in this outdoor setting. The biggest challenge our team had to overcome was the backyard was sloped at all angles, our team of skilled craftsmen utilized grading techniques to keep a level patio while preserving the grade of the yard. As a result, we provided defined seating areas to entertain family and friends in a cool, friendly atmosphere. Additionally, we followed the clients' desires for landscaping by providing a variety of flower boxes, and shrubbery that aesthetically, contributed to biodiversity and pollinators in the area. The completed raised patio has the appropriate furniture including soft seating and lighting to hang out outside at night. Our clients were excited the final product as it exceeded their expectation for quality craftsmanship and creativity. Most importantly it provides an inviting place in which to host family and friends.
