About This Project

Private Cedarburg Residence Located in beautiful Cedarburg, the Private Cedarburg Residence showcases the creativity and craftsmanship of Breckenridge Design, Construction & Maintenance. We took on the task of transforming the existing outdoor living space to create a tranquil retreat that balanced beauty with performance. The initiated with a careful on-site analysis to assess the existing topography and plant material on-site. We incorporated premium quality materials, such as locally harvested stone for paved areas and natural cedar for the custom-designed fencing, to continue the rustic character of the residence. A diverse selection of native plantings was included to promote biodiversity, ensure seasonal color, and minimize maintenance. One challenge we worked to overcome was man's influence over the sloped terrain of the site, which we addressed by adding terraced garden beds to the landscape. This improved the aesthetics to the outdoor space and didn't hurt drainage and soil retention either. Additionally, we installed a custom irrigation system to ensure the health of the plants while saving water. The end product is a beautiful landscape that consists of a welcoming patio area for client entertaining, and winding paths for discovery. The clients expressed how pleased they were with how naturally their outdoor living spaces flowed with the rest of the home.
