The presented a challenge of determining how to enhance the view of a majestic home while still maintaining its historical charm. Our design team went to the trouble of selecting native plants which thrive in the Wisconsin climate of the site, promoting sustainable plant choices that fit the natural environment with low maintenance. Other features are included such as magnificent perennial gardens with colorful blooms, along with gorgeous rock paths of local limestone inviting you on an exploration of a wide variety of grounds, with an overall organic flow to the design, making harmony with the architecture. The backyard displays a unique cedar wood pergola framed with durable cedar, offering a shady retreat for outdoor entertainers. The landscape around the pergola also includes a variety of impressive beautiful foliage, using colorful plant choices that will enhance the space both in season, and off-season, making every season appealing. A sophisticated irrigation system was also installed to enable sustainability of healthy plants while conserving water. The team was faced with several obstacles during the site design and build restraint; dealing with uneven elevations of the lot, and established trees that required planning and skill to evaluate. With our team's planning and wise expert grading technique, along with pruning a few select trees, we were able to utilize the inherent beauty of the lot. In the end, we created a beautiful landscape that not only preserved the charm of a historic house and property but also created havens for fun and relaxation.
