Poolside Transformation: Ogden's Design & Plantings, Inc. This week we are featuring our newest , 'Poolside Transformation,' right in the heart of Long Island, which has elevated the outdoor lifestyle for a very picky client out in Nassau County. There was no exception to obvious quality, here at Ogden's Design and Plantings, Inc. This transformation covered a lot of ground, including a complete pool area renovation, incorporating beautiful landscaping for a calm oasis. We started by tearing out the old concrete before laying down beautiful natural stone pavers, that also helped the pool look nicer while also giving it a slip-free surface. A warm-toned granite was selected to complement the existing architecture while skillfully accommodating functionality and durability in this multi-use space. To complement the space, we introduced multiple native and non native plants such as ornamental grasses, hydrangeas, and flowering perennials in an array of color creating a year round- colorful tapestry. Mature trees bring shade and create privacy, while creating an oasis experience. The pool area terrain was a little bit tricky but even more for the fam. We moved into the carving of the space and grading the land with the skills of our trades to ensure water does not pool and erode the space that we have worked so hard to create and sculpt. We also implemented a high-tech irrigation system which makes certain that almost every plant flourished with the least amount of work the home owner has to complete. The highlighted feature of the makeover was the custom natural stone fire pit, which invites evenings gathered around the pool. Crowned with comfortable seating, and a landscape lighting design that provides the perfect low level glow, it became the centerpiece for gatherings with family and friends. Result of the poolside transformation aka so glad we tried it all out! And with hardscaping and softscaping working together so beautifully in this space, it has become an oasis in their own backyard!
