Backyard Getaway by KAPPLE Landscape Design Located in Northeast Florida, KAPPLE Landscape Design is excited to share the 'Backyard Getaway' , a contemporary renovation of a residential outdoor space in Jacksonville. Our mission was to create an escape to nature within the context of modern living. The encompassed a lush, multi-layered garden bed with native plants such as Florida-friendly hibiscus and ornamental grasses to promote sustainability and variation in color throughout the seasons. The garden featured a beautiful flagstone path, contributing to a rustic feeling and allowing visitors to meander through the garden with ease. Additionally, we used reclaimed wood to construct raised garden beds, demonstrating our commitment to eco-friendly materials. One of the challenges we faced was leveling the ground, to create a balanced layout. Our talented team developed an innovative grading solution, allowing us to level the ground and create a beautifully placed water feature. The sound of the water cascading over the rock features is peaceful and relaxing. The result will blow you away. The garden is a lovely oasis with a warm fire pit area for evening gatherings, and a shaded, vine-covered pergola for resting from the sun through it all. The client was ecstatic saying it adds to the home's function and beauty. This 'Backyard Getaway' has become a beloved retreat, and is a testament to KAPPLE Landscape Design's craftsmanship and level of quality and service in Jacksonville, Jaguars and St. Augustine, and across Northeast Florida.
