About This Project

Seattle Residence Madison Park Folia Horticultural + Design Located in the tranquil enclave of Madison Park, the landscaping showcases the artistry and craftsmanship of Folia Horticultural + Design. We set out to create an outdoor oasis that would complement and harmonize with the Pacific Northwest beauty surrounding the area, but also maximize the usability of the residential space. It was a complex , with a multi-level garden, relaxing water feature, and custom stone patio, and together they were designed to encourage the lifestyle of being outdoors. The native plants were specifically chosen to ensure sustainability, low maintenance and display a colourful palette that varies with each season. The use of locally sourced, high-quality materials in rustic flagstone and reclaimed wood helped provide continuity and familiarity while respecting the home it was extending. The lot is steeply sloped, which had its challenges when it came to gradingtrying to make flat areas for the patio and garden beds was tricky. The challenges associated with this created the perfect opportunity for our team to implement retaining walls that ultimately provided architectural and aesthetic value with the addition of mossy hued boulders and ornamental grasses. It resulted in this dramatic vista that provided our clients with joy. The outdoor area will help extend their home for entertaining friends or even quiet evenings in their haven. The functional hardscapes blended seamlessly with beautiful plantings demonstrates our commitment to quality and client satisfaction. The Madison Park improved the residence in aesthetic value and improved a sense of landscape connection hot spots while demonstrating the potential of landscape to create sought after outdoor living spaces. Folia Horticultural + Design proudly operates throughout the greater Seattle area, from Ballard to Bellevue, and is excited to design and construct more inspiring and uplifting outdoor landscapes.
