About This Project

Meadow Meets Modern Merge Studio's 'Meadow Meets Modern' landscape integrates the peace of nature and contemporary design, transforming a large property in Sonoma County into a relaxing retreat. The final site displays a seamless integration of grassy native flora, soft and hardscaping elements that visually please the body and mind. The showcases a rainbow of drought-tolerant planting materials. Wildflowers, ornamental grasses, and other plants were carefully selected for their compatibility for the local climate while adding to the natural beauty of the environment. Unique to this are sustainably sourced stone pathways that flow throughout the garden and provide gardeners with the promise of discovering an oasis while addressing challenges associated with erosion. There were multiple conditions Merge Studio had to address when creating this ; an uneven site, and the plantings growing in shady and sunny locations. Through careful planning and creative construction, Merge Studio was able to level the landscape and optimize each planting in terms of sunlight. In the end, Meadows Meets Modern creates an outdoor space that honors the natural ecology of the area, while smartly dresses up the home as an extension of it. The clients were thrilled with the completed , paying compliments the way the design merged indoor and outdoor space while inspiring a more relaxed attitude and more connection to outdoors. This demonstrates quality workmanship, ingenuity, and unique design, easily made standout improvements to the North Bay property.
