Summary: New Leaf Garden by Deep Rootz Landscape and Design Deep Rootz Landscape and Design is excited to share the New Leaf Garden - a that is a perfect representation of the quality and creativity we bring to outdoor living. Located in Richmond, this exemplifies our commitment to building our communities in Albany, Berkeley, and beyond. The New Leaf Garden features the thoughtful use of native plants amongst various hardscape features that create beauty, functions in the climate, and creates biodiversity. We incorporated drought-resistant plants like California poppies and lavender to create a colorful environment that attracts pollinators and improves the health of the garden. As part of enhancing the outdoor experience, we incorporated a stone pathway made of natural flagstone gathered locally. This beautiful pathway connects the outdoor space to the adjacent homes, provides access, and includes a unique walking experience, winding through the area with opportunities to discover and appreciate the serenity of the space. Our team dealt with the issue of a sloping lot and uneven graded site, but did an outstanding job of leveling and grading the site to ensure proper drainage for water to escape and limited erosion in the future. Along with lush plantings and stone work, we created a custom made cedar pergola using sustainable cedar which enhances the space and provides shade and an inviting place to gather together with family and friends. We filled it with climbing vines that create a natural green canopy and charm to the space. In the end, our client was thrilled and overwhelmed by the transformed space from an underused existing yard to an outdoor oasis that blends with the environment. The New Leaf Garden represents the best of Deep Rootz Landscape and Design - craftsmanship, sustainability, and customer experience as the signature of outdoor living in the East Bay.
