Berkeley Hills Deep Rootz Landscape and Design is pleased to introduce the Berkeley Hills , a remarkable landscape transformation located in the bustling East Bay area. Working with clients from Albany to Walnut Creek, this showcases our focus on high-quality craftsmanship and creativity in landscaping design. The work consisted of a complete landscape renovation, prioritizing aesthetics and functionality. We started by designing a solution for the site's challenging terrain, which included steep hills and rocky outcrops. We developed a comprehensive plan for the overall design, which was anchored by carefully placed retaining walls using a locally sourced natural stone. This reinforced the slopes while adding visual appeal to the overall landscape. Native plants that tolerate the local climate were selected as part of our softscape component, minimizing additional water use and promoting sustainability. The finished design incorporates an appealing variety of textures and colors using flowering shrubs, ornamental grasses, and low maintenance perennials to provide visual interest throughout the seasons. The custom patio area for entertaining or relaxing while enjoying the scenic view of a canyon and nearby hillsides is one of the most eye-catching components. This welcoming space was created with durable pavers made from environmentally responsible materials and successfully integrates with the local landscape. While building the design, there were challenges from the start including limited access to the site for heavy machinery and the need for precision grading to manage erosion, but Deep Rootz Landscape and Design team was able to navigate and complete these tasks with professional experience and ingenuity to keep the on track and on budget. The entire process resulted in a beautiful cohesive landscape which supported the client's vision and enhanced the natural beauty of the Berkeley Hills. The enthusiastic homeowners now have an outdoor space that they can enjoy, which is brimming with plant material and functional space that presents an amazing view of what the East Bay has to offer.
