Description of the Webster Groves MO - Small Backyard Patio & Fireplace Poynter Landscape Architecture & Construction is excited to present the transformation of a small backyard in Webster Groves, MO into a beautiful outdoor space with a fire place and a patio. This exemplifies our focus on quality and design that considers the needs of our clients. We started the with a full analysis of the space in order to maximize the use while providing aesthetics. Even though we are working with small spaces, we chose durable materials that represent elegance such as natural stone for the patio and custom fireplace that integrate into the landscape to enhance their beauty. We created the patio using interlocking pavers in a warm, earth tone that gives us a surface to entertain or simply enjoy the evening sky. One of the issues we faced was the small space requiring us to be creative in the planning to make sure the area felt open and inviting. Our talented team took advantage of vertical aspects of planters that were strategically placed to fill the space with colorful perennials while not overloading the area. Our plans even included the subtle light to highlight the fireplace and paths to enhance the experience of being outside in the evening. The final product is a beautifully built patio that has its own character attractive to the architecture, and becomes an extension of the inside of your home to enjoy time with friends and family or enjoy the serenity of the world outside your home. Our client absolutely loves what the final product looks like, and how the design fits into their lifestyle and environment.
