Our team encountered the challenge of sloped terrain and rocky soila few creative solutions were necessary to make sure that drainage and stability would work long-term. We thoughtfully terraced the landscape with natural stone retaining walls that defined the garden beds, while also adding beauty. Using locally-sourced granite was perfect because this too had a harmonious context within existing environment and would withstand the Texas climate. In this , we included a mix of native plantscreating drought-resistant flora that flourish in this area, including vibrant Texas sage, ornamental grasses, and seasonal wildflowersnot only add beautiful color, but the placement of plants attract local wildlife, such as butterflies and hummingbirds. We designed a huge outdoor living area with a custom reclaimed cedar wood pergola for shade and socializing. We created a full outdoor kitchen with a stone-grill and seating area, truly transforming the backyard into a delightful space for entertaining with friends and family. Finally, we installed eco-friendly artificial turf which has an attractive green appearance throughout the year while greatly minimizing additional water usage.
