Front Yard Xeriscape by Happy Gardens At Happy Gardens, we believe in creating sustainable outdoor spaces, and our 'Front Yard Xeriscape' in Fort Worth showcases our quality and innovation. Serving the communities of Ft. Worth, Ft. Worth, and Westover Hills, we embarked on this to improve water efficiency with a landscape that balances visual aesthetics with low maintenance considerations. This xeriscape utilized an assortment of drought-resistant plants consisting of succulents, native grasses, and perennial plants that bloom in color and thrive in the Texas climate. We also selected natural stone paths, boulders placed for effect, and decorative gravel, again selected for water and soil management. One significant issue was the preexisting hardpan soil that inhibited water uptake. Our experienced staff amended the soils accordingly, using a layering system that assured aeration and moisture retention allowing easy growth of the new vegetation, while creating the conditions for an emerging ecosystem. The finished product is a beautiful front yard that meets all the aesthetic requests for the client, as well as a sustainable solution to water use. The xeriscape is already a topic of discussion in the neighborhood, adding a beautiful dimension to responsible landscaping. The client was absolutely thrilled with the outcome, expressing gratitude in relation to transforming their home with increased curb appeal, and drastically reduced water usage.
