Front Entrance on The Secret Garden The Secret Garden is excited to bring you our latest landscape, "Front Entrance." A beautiful landscape renovation, Front Entrance adds curb appeal and a welcoming atmosphere to the front entrance of our clients home in the lovely neighborhood of Bayside. We spent countless hours designing and implementing a landscape to coordinate with the architecture, while even more connecting our clients back to the natural beauty of the neighborhoods surrounding them - Brown Deer and Cedarburg. From the beginning, this called for an entire redesign of the front of the house. It is formally accessible to family and guests. A lovely drip line path made out of local natural stone guides family and guests to the front door welcomed by the mature perennial flower beds on both sides of the path. The flowers depict a specific native plant palette meant to match the climate throughout the year, looking great seasonally. One of our biggest obstacles was the existing aesthetics of the backyard. Our team had to grade the landscape to help with drainage and accessibility. Using imported top soil amendments helps whith the local soil for better and healthy growth of the landscape materials. New shrubs and flowers are installed in a sequence of ornamental grasses, perennials, and shrubs on both sides of the path to promote something to see and enjoy year round. Placement of evergreen plants allows family and guest to view the entrance through winter months. For more charm, we add soft landscape lighting to the path for you to notice the plants during the evening. And, if you miss the lighting, the custom-built arbor will guide you back to the front door with elegance and beauty. The client was happy with the results of Front Entrance where function, and beauty coexist, as the front entrance promotes a warm environmentally welcome back to their home.
