About This Project

### European Landscape by The Secret Garden Located in downtown Milwaukee, our 'European Landscape' perfectly represents the artistry and craftsmanship for which The Secret Garden is known within Bayside, Brown Deer, Cedarburg and surrounding communities. This remarkable outdoor space was intricately designed to create a sense of charm and elegance commonly found in European gardens, which blends traditional historical elements with practicality. The 's design included a sensibly arranged assortment of selected plants, including fragrant lavender, ornamental hydrangeas, and boxwood hedges, which provided a lush arrangement of earthy colors and textures. We designed natural stone pathways made from locally sourced limestone masonry and installed suitable hardscape paths for guests to walk through the garden's charming pockets. The pathways serve some beauty and helpful durability in the northwest climate. One challenge we faced was controlling the undulation of the property, which created a difficulty bringing usable outdoor space all together in the space. Our great and skilled crew retained walls with reclaimed bricks to provide stability and old-world charm. We also created wooden trellises with climbing roses for vertical visual interest and added to the charm of the space. The end result is a beautiful oasis for our clients to escape the everyday world. The lush gardens with water features and cozy spaces helped provide the right balance of beauty and practicality in the spectrum of landscape. Our clients were thrilled with their new outdoor space, loving the way we so astutely paired European elegance with Midwestern accessibility.
