About This Project

The Lexington Hills project is a remarkable transformation of an outdoor space that epitomizes the blend of functionality and aesthetic appeal. The original landscape, characterized by a mundane 'builder special' patio, was completely reimagined to create a multi-level outdoor entertainment area that caters to both relaxation and social gatherings. The centerpiece of this remodel is a beautifully designed stamped concrete patio, which features a thoughtfully integrated sunken area to accommodate a stunning spillway water feature, providing a soothing auditory backdrop and a visually captivating element. Adjacent to this tranquil feature, a small outdoor fire pit invites cozy evenings spent under the stars, enhancing the allure of the space. Craftsmanship is evident throughout the project, as skilled artisans employed native Table Rock Sandstone to construct the walls. Each stone was meticulously saw cut and hand chiseled, ensuring a unique and natural appearance that seamlessly blends with the surrounding environment. The upper area of the patio boasts a built-in grill, ideal for entertaining guests or enjoying family meals outdoors, reinforcing the space's function as a true outdoor living area. To facilitate movement between the front and back yards, large Arizona flagstone stepping stones were strategically placed, creating a pathway that is both practical and visually striking. This design choice not only enhances accessibility but also adds an organic touch that complements the overall landscape design. Extensive planting throughout the area introduces a variety of textures and colors, enriching the environment and ensuring that the landscape flourishes over time. Installed by Franz Witte Landscape in 2004, the Lexington Hills project demonstrates how a well-executed landscape design can evolve, offering homeowners a dynamic outdoor experience that grows more beautiful with each passing season. The combination of thoughtful design, high-quality materials, and exceptional craftsmanship results in a contemporary landscape that is both inviting and inspiring.
