About This Project

Hardscapes by J. Barker Landscaping At J. Barker Landscaping Company, we have just finished a called Hardscapes. This turned a backyard space off into a beautiful landscape connected with functionality. The included many hardscaping items, including a lovely pathway, large patio, and designed beautiful retaining wall that added beauty and usability to the property. Using durable, quality materials such as natural bluestone and concrete pavers, all hardscaping was constructed to be beautiful, while standing the test of time. The beautiful stone pathway winds through steep garden beds inviting guests to the array of colorful plants. The large patio became a location where outdoor entertaining could be enjoyed to all. A challenge of the was the change in grade of the site. The team thought very carefully the plan to get each element of the layout level or at a comfortable slope where needed; this involved lots of leveling and creative thought in the design. This included a tiered retaining wall which not only fits the change in grade but adds drama to the landscape. The outcome brought everything together to a lovely space which made the clients happy in they now have a peaceful setting of retreat right outside their backdoor. The layer of hardscapes provides balance to those hardy plants and green additions, matching the expectation of the clients. The Hardscape shows J. Barker Landscaping Company's commitment to active work and satisfaction to our customers and landscape around Hudson, Aurora, Chargin Falls, and further.
