Modern Mediterranean Design by Roy Altaras Landscape Design and Build Located in the heart of Los Angeles is our latest , the "Modern Mediterranean Design" . It exemplifies the artistry and innovation that defines Roy Altaras Landscape Design and Build. This incredible landscaping transformed this residential area into a Mediterranean escape. The plants, hardscape, and outdoor living spaces coalesce beautifully. The design utilizes extremely beautiful terracotta tile along with natural stone paths that guide entry into the enchanting landscape. Other elements include a number of drought-resistant plants and green space as lavender, rosemary, and olive trees. These plants are not just a design feature, however. They add to the climate-responsiveness and sustainability of the outdoor living space. Custom built pergoals with climbing plants and vines enable shaded areas for lounging and entertaining. The layout of the land posed several primary challenges. This area was sloped and there were several terraced garden beds and beautiful views for which clever terraced garden beds, with retaining walls made of local stone materials were placed for good water-drainage while also creating visual interest. Additionally, a carefully devised irrigation system was incorporated to ensure that as little is wasted in that natural resource as possible, one of our core philosophies toward environmentally friendly landscaping. The end product is a lovely blending of the two worlds of modern design features and yesterday’s charm found in Mediterranean landscapes that provide these clients with a truly restful retreat that is perfectly suited to their lifestyles. The reflects each detail of our fine attention to detail and product of quality that have not only transformed the property but have been pleasing to clients who now enjoy their new outdoor living area.
