Lakeside by Timothy Lee Landscape Design Situated in the relaxing landscape of a home, ‘Lakeside’ is the definition of the design work of Timothy Lee Landscape Design. Timothy Lee works with a variety of clients 'around Arlington, Bedford, Boston, and beyond.' This depicts the transformation of a backyard into a breathtaking lakeside retreat. This pristine landscaping utilized innovative natural stone paths, native plant selections, as well as an incredible water feature focal point. Design incorporated a multi-tiered patio from locally sourced bluestone suiting the functions of gatherings or a family barbeque outside. Seating was considered, with custom built, sustainable sourced cedar seating providing harmony to the space. One of the challenges on this landscaping was the build site had uneven terrain. Our contracted team engineered a series of terraces which provided efficient drainage and improved soil erosion, while increasing usability of the site. This secures the landscape development and provides two separate spaces to lounge and entertain exhausted relatives. The planting scheme was designed to provide biodiversity supporting native plants, including wildflowers and a selection of ornamental grasses that fit a lakeside image. The allowances of trees and shrubs provide varied vistas to consider throughout the four seasons. In the final considerations, the Lakeside was a fulfillment of the clients' visions in aesthetics, usability, and ecologically sustainable expectations. The clients can engage interior family bonds to the outdoor space and enjoy the nature within five feet of the building. The integrated hardscape and softscape constructions will allow the family to enjoy a nature bond for generations. Timothy Lee Landscape Design aims for high quality and detail for each to allow the to fall within the scope of the client's vision.
