Dana Pacific Landscape Functional Residential Landscape Designs At Dana Pacific Landscape, we are passionate designing and constructing practical and beautiful garden havens. Dedicated to showcasing our quality and creativeness when it comes to landscaping, our latest in Dana Point, San Clemente, and San Juan Capistrano. This residential landscape design combined native plants and drought-tolerant landscaping techniques with sustainable materials providing a balance between beautiful and environmentally friendly results. Using a wide variety of textures, colors, and climate-specific flora, the design produced a dazzling landscape that boasts succulent, aromatic lavender, and ornamental grasses. One of the biggest challenges for us was working with the slope of the land. We used creative grading techniques and included natural stone retaining walls for lateral support, adding an organic look to the landscape. Permeable pavers for the pathways enabled water to quickly be absorbed into the ground, increasing sustainability while improving the design. We added a custom built patio with a fire pit and seating area to serve as a rear extension of the home, ideally suited for family gatherings and entertaining. Thought-full outdoor lighting was included to provide some highlight and allow the use of garden as a functional living space during evenings. The end product was an incredible landscape that fulfilled our client expectations over and over. A balance between beauty and utility turned their backyard into a peaceful retreat, customized to their way of life.
