Backyard Remodel with Fire Pit and Bocce Court T.H. Norton Landscape Architecture, Inc. is excited to have remodeled this backyard into a lively outdoor space in [Client's Location]. This backyard includes a custom fire pit as well as a regulation-sized bocce court to combine form and function brilliantly. With natural stone used in the firepit and high-quality turf for the bocce court, we used some of the best materials available to make a durable brimming with style. We went through many rounds of site analysis and planning with the client to build a strong foundation for this memorable outdoor experience, while also trying to solve some site challenges like uneven terrain and drainage conditions. Our staff meticulously designed a new grading strategy that would allow an accessible, level surface for the bocce court while maximizing water flow and mitigating erosion. The fire pit is nestled in a cozy area that is surrounded on three sides by built-in sectional seating, while also flanked by other fun and inviting landscaping. It functions beautifully as a gathering spot for friends and family on a cold night outdoors. The bocce court runs adjacent to the fire pit and is also lighted by ambient lighting and framed with formal hedging, so it invites family and friends to engage in either casual play or competitive games. Overall, this landscape combines leisure with recreation - it is an outdoor entertainment experience that exceeded the expectations of the client. T.H.
