Woodside Estate At T.H. Norton Landscape Architecture, Inc., we’re very proud of creating good outdoor spaces into amazing landscapes that blend well with their sites. Our latest Woodside Estate was an example of this philosophy and what we value most, quality and uniqueness. This beautiful site, with its rolling hills and majestic oaks, is in the quiet community of Woodside. This spacious estate showcases plans that involved beautiful gardens, beautiful hardscapes, and solutions that demonstrate sustainability. Our work began with a thorough on-site analysis of the property. We studied the topography and the microclimates all over the estate. Our team’s goal was to integrate a wide variety of native plants for biodiversity while also being water-efficient. The plants we hand-picked were drought tolerant: California poppies, manzanitas, and other species that have adapted to the climate. We felt confident the plants would thrive and support a local ecosystem. Woodside Estate’s hardscapes are just as impressive as the natural landscapes with stone work. Each pathway is made of locally sourced granite and thoughtfully interlocks so they can weave throughout the property while inviting families to walk the estate. As part of the inviting atmosphere outdoor entertaining area invites families to gather outside while boasting a spectacular patio, custom firepit, comfortable seating, and plenty of business to kill time with family and company. Lighting was also added to ensure the beautiful dramatic architecture and cozy pastoral setting blended very well together as the sun sets and the evening settles. We took pride in our attentiveness to the , no element was overlooked. Every product material included elements of sustainability to the installation process. The results are fluid, functional and aesthetically pleasing, which kept our behind the scene clients pleasantly surprised. Together we have created a landscape and an estate, an oasis of outdoor living to relax and connect to the environment. T.H.
