Healdsburg 2 Randy Thueme Design Inc. - Landscape Architecture is excited to present the Healdsburg 2 , a remarkable dedicated to providing an experience of craftsmanship and artistry in the landscape. Located in the heart of Healdsburg, this showcases a balance of natural beauty and a thoughtful response to functional design in order to respond to our client’s needs and desires. The landscape incorporates a crafted outdoor living space and a custom stone patio as the centerpiece for entertaining. The local stones were selected for their quality and sustainability and further enhanced the architecture of the home by creating a seamless transition from indoors to outdoors. With a focus on sustainability and the environment, the design included native, drought-resistant plants to provide color and texture for each season. One of the major challenges of the Healdsburg 2 was the challenge of the topography. The design addressed a steep slope on the site and provided innovative grading to create a space that felt even and welcoming. We achieved the grade by creating terraced garden beds. These terraces directly addressed the topography issue while also providing depth and interest to the landscape. Additional features of the include a tranquil water feature that serves as a pleasing auditory softening device and lighting to enhance the experience while enjoying the night. The offered the opportunity for an amazing retreat for rest and play, as our client had wished but which also surpassed their expectations and offered an extraordinary outdoor experience.
