About This Project

Mediterranean Eden by Outdoor Ink, LLC Situated in Nashville, 'Mediterranean Eden' is our latest landscape installation completed by Outdoor Ink, LLC for the remarkable communities of Belle Meade, Brentwood, Forest Hills, Franklin, and Leiper's Fork. The is a transformation of a traditional sub-urban yard into a cohesive Mediterranean space that we strived to create with quality and beauty in mind. The design included a rich palette of drought resistant plant material like fragrant lavender, sun-bleached rosemary, and delightful olive trees. Each plant material was carefully chosen to grow in Tennessee, while quickly transporting each of us to the Mediterranean scenery we were hoping for. We used high quality materials, including natural stone pavers and reclaimed terracotta for the paths, and the garden borrowed the style of the materials just like the plants. When I first saw the design, the most significant challenge was the sloping property. In order to deal with the slope, we terraced the garden beds to enrich the aesthetic appeal and to advance the soil drainage and health of the plant materials. Strategic placement of boulders and stone walls was utilized to add strength and beauty to the landscape and ensure it would stand the test of time. The end result is a landscape that law ignites joy in our clients, leaving them with a water feature whose sound draws on the experience of resting next to a fountain in the Mediterranean. It welcomes you to sit-down and enjoy time with your family around custom seating spaces and to ponder what food might come from the garden herb planters that sit proximate to the kitchen. 'Mediterranean Eden' is a portrayal of our work at Outdoor Ink, LLC in making wonderfully soulful spaces and an experience that resonates with beauty, nature, and thoughtfulness. Our clients are thrilled with their new landscape, which validates our work, dedication, and love for beautiful outdoor spaces.
