HEIRLOOM by Outdoor Ink, LLC Outdoor Ink, LLC is excited to present the 'HEIRLOOM' landscaping , which is a beautiful transformation located in Nashville, serving the community-focused neighborhoods Belle Meade, Brentwood, Forest Hills, Franklin, and Leiper's Fork. The HEIRLOOM design supports a seamless interface of nature and art to create a setting that is a tribute to the region's classical beauty using contemporary sustainable processes. The HEIRLOOM features a purposeful design with a variety of native plants, which are curated to grow well in the unique climate of the region, define a local ecosystem, and support biodiversity. Organic soil was cultivated with sustainable compost, and supplied a rich growing environment with vibrant colors and durability during the plant's life stages. A stone path made of local flagstone was used as the primary hard-outline in the design, which enhances the natural feel, and provides access to the lush landscape. A remediable challenge was the terrain we had to alter, which required an all-encompassing-grading solution, that introduced the character and beauty of the design while still managing drainage. As in the completed landscape, step-in/outdoor space was introduced with sustainable practice that manages runoff, like rain gardens and permeable paver to promote infiltration in groundwater, managing a burden to a feature of stewardship. The outcome is a stunning retreat comprised of an exact balance of hard-and-softscape. The tranquil water feature is designed to attract local wildlife, inviting the connection to nature beyond the cozy seating space, which is designed for nesting, relaxing, and reflection. The client was overjoyed, and they said that the HEIRLOOM not only enhanced their property, but it was welcomed with nature's love.
