About This Project

Beauty and the Beast by Outdoor Ink, LLC Outdoor Ink, LLC of Franklin, TN shares the 'Beauty and Beast' landscaping , which captured the balance of beauty and ruggedness in the waterways of Middle Tennessee. Serving areas including Belle Meade, Brentwood, Forest Hills, Nashville, and Leiper's Fork, we designed this outdoor space to captivate the eye and evoke one's senses. We installed a mix of beautiful and resilient native plants, which included perennials, ornamental grass, and a multitude of flowering shrubs, offering color and interest from spring all the way through winter even at the height of summer. The epicenter of the design is a classic stone path, built from local flagstone, which elegantly winds through the expansive garden while providing a safe, sustainable, slip-resistant surface. Other elements of the property included a large amount of slope, which required grading and terracing to offer a functional and attractive layout. We created large natural boulders and retaining walls so the slope would not only incorporated into the east Tennessee landscape, but improve the aesthetics while providing elements of stability and drainage, too. The landscape provides features for entertaining guests with a built-in firepit and a mixture of zones and seating arrangement. All sustainable materials were used throughout, including reclaimed wood for raised garden beds to promote eco-friendly gardening. Ultimately, the improvisation met the vision of what all had in mind re-imagining the Beauty and Beast theme into a beautiful proposal. Family members watched and marveled at the evolution of the property as it transformed into a gathering place for family and friends, a journey to reconnect with nature, and an experience to where life once again interjects with purpose. At Outdoor Ink, LLC we will build any outdoor space with workantsmanship and respect to the principle of happiness, rest, and collective gather, while experiencing peaceful enjoyment as a family.
