- Hunt Residence The Slevin Group Landscape & Snow is excited to share the completed transformation of my clients' yard into a unique landscape in West Orange. This showcases what quality and creativity are while embracing practical design and producing a beautiful outdoor environment. At Hunt Residence, the first step in the process was to survey the site, which presented some issues related to the layout of the property and drainage in particular. The team discussed the aspects of the yard that were a benefit and then created a site plan that incorporated the landscape design sure to enhance the aesthetics of the property. We used high quality materials such as local stone to build walls and tuck pre-cut stone into the existing hardscapes to create pathways. They now have a lovely multi-tiered patio complete with high-end pavers, with room for entertaining or family needs. By implemented natural plants indigenous to New Jersey, they will create beautiful blooms and color to the property year-round, while supporting the biodiversity of the area. We also placed a small pond to allow for a beautiful focal point in the yard that would create the sounds of water cascading down the rocks in the pond, which our clients were after. Our craftsman had to carefully consider how the landscape would bind with the existing architecture, and I believe they did a beautiful job at meshing the structure of the home line to the natural landscape of the yard. Our client's feedback was exceedingly positive after completion of the , and they won't have the ability to do yard work in a long time which will allowed them to drink coffee outside, spend quality family time and enjoy their yard.
