Located in the beautiful coastal community of Del Mar, this aimed to improve the street appeal of a prominent residential property while enhancing the surrounding landscape. Our team was tasked with creating a lush, inviting garden that marries the beauty of the coastal landscape. The design uses a combination of native plants, drought-tolerant succulents, and seasonal color for year-round interest. The quality of materials, such as natural stone pathways and decorative boulder features, adds textural and visual difference. One of the most considerable challenges we faced was working with a hillside garden. Our landscape architects utilized tiered garden beds not only for aesthetic appeal but also for drainage and water retentionan integral component for maintaining the health of this planting scheme. A custom irrigation system has been set up for low water usage and maintenance. The outcome is a garden space that invites the homeowner and guests into the front yarda lush, carefully selected planting palette in combination with quality hardscape invites social gathering and rest.
