Transitional Landscape by Natural Wonders Landscaping We recently completed an inspirational we d 'Transitional Landscape' at Natural Wonders Landscaping that makes the seamless transition between modern architecture and the surrounding landscape. Since 2005, we have been transforming typical residential yards into exquisite outdoor spaces that are the pinnacle of style and warmth all while catering to the lively neighbourhoods of Aldine, Alief, Katy, and beyond. It all started with an extensive consultation to find out what the client had envisioned along with a harmonious arrangement of hardscaping and softscaping features. Among the top features was a custom stone path made from local flagstone winding around the property leading guests through a landscape of native plant garden beds and seasonal flowers. We played with different textures and colors to add some interest but ultimately it was all keeping things easy and environmentally friendly. The biggest obstacle we had to overcome was the land itself, which was so lumpy that it would not drain or lay out right. Skilled manpower inculcated with the best practice levelled the land as well as a complete drainage system was also embedded to stop the water from stagnating in the area which is not only a visual binds but also the standing water can damage the skin. Additionally in some areas we used boulders and natural rock formations to lend scale and permanence to the design. Once the natural components were in place, we incorporated ambient LED lighting throughout the garden to illuminate pathways and key features, creating a stunning and magical space for evenings. A warm and inviting outdoor sitting area, complete with salvaged wood tables and seating nestled in a blanket of aromatic herbs and decorative grasses, beckoned a good time. This led to an impressive end result that surpassed our clients expectations. Our 'Transitional Landscape' exemplifies what we do best : quality craftsmanship and innovative design.
