Garden St. Natural Wonders Landscaping From Natural Wonders Landscaping Introducing the amazing before-after of Garden St., a landscape that changed the way we use our outdoor spaces. This in Houston went through a very thoughtful design in such a way that the design is truly complimentary to the surrounding community yet still captures the needs of our clients. Planting design elements included fen flower beds filled with native plants, ornamental grasses, and colorful perennials flowing from the various seasons. And in order to tie the garden together we added a lovely locally sourced stone walk made of flagstone to carry guests through its magical places. The property was on a fairly side to side sloped site and a fair amount of ground had to be modified and regraded to enable water to run away as it should and for the working space. We leveled the land and created tiered garden beds which in addition to providing visual interest, allowed for healthier plants through optimal sunlight and moisture. This house also had the benefit of great plant selections, and aside from the many perennials on the site, we had the pleasure of installing this beautiful water featurea softscape pond bordered with carefully set river rock that provides a relaxing soundtrack of water sounds. This incorporated energy-effective LED lighting up the path and round the pond highlighted the garden throughout the evening, providing our clients with a peaceful haven to relax in after dark. The end product is an extraordinary oasis that seamlessly marries utilities with craftsmanship and fullfilled our client taste at the same time.
