Contemporary Mountain Home by Planters Located in the beautiful Druid Hills area of Atlanta, the 'Contemporary Mountain Home' is yet another demonstration of Planters’ commitment to high-quality landscaping. The large-scale renovation of the outdoor space was designed to complement the home’s modern architectural lines, while being embraced by the beautiful mountainous views surrounding the property. The features a beautiful landscape constructed to include native plantings, stone pathways, and, the showstopper, a water feature. We were able to source granite boulders from the region to build a naturalistic retaining wall that was fully integrated with the landscape and surrounding grade. The stone provided a beautiful aesthetic, while also addressing the issue of soil erosion in the area. As we designed the landscape, our team faced the issue of remaining sustainable while providing a captivating visual experience. We used a mixture of low-maintenance, drought resistant planting options grown in Georgia to provide clients with less maintenance and lower water usage. We were also sure to place LED lighting along the paths to illuminate the beauty in the landscape at night. All in all, the completed landscape is a stunning marry of beauty and function that left our clients smiling. The 'Contemporary Mountain Home' property has new outdoor space that provides plenty of entertainment, relaxing, and connection to nature. Not only has the aesthetic appeal of the property contributed to a greater “curb appeal,” but the quality of life of its’ inhabitants continues to improve.
