Proposal: Rome Georgia Residence - Built by Planters Located in Rome, Georgia, the 'Rome Georgia Residence' built by Planters is proof of quality landscaping and design. Located in this dynamic community in Atlanta, Buckhead, Buckhead Atlanta, Druid Hills, and Vinings we embraced the challenges and created an outdoor haven to complement the houses architecture. The landscape process began with an overall site analysis, which targeted functional outdoor spaces that aligned with the natural features. We put together a multi-tiered garden, with a heavy focus on the use of native plants, which are both beautiful and functional. The design included a stunning variety of flowering perennials, ornamental grasses, and evergreen shrubs to maximize interest throughout the year and boost curb appeal. The design also included a wonderful stone path that resembled a winding river through the garden made of locally sourced bluestone. Not only did the bluestone provide an attractive and long-lasting walking surface, but it easily integrated with existing topography. At the end of the stone pathway, we designed and built a custom fire pit area that will be used with the family for years to come and for small gatherings while looking at the stars. We also used reclaimed wood to show our commitment to making less impact to the earth. Challenges we encountered during the process included collapsed drainage pipes and working with uneven topography as part of the site’s existing conditions. Our experienced team designed and installed an entire drainage system that moves water away from the foundation to preserve the longevity of the landscape and residence. Overall, the result is a stunning blend of functionality and beauty that has delighted our clients and created a vibrant outdoor living space that encourages slowing down and engaging with the property, all while enhancing the unique style and personality of the owners.
