About This Project

Beach Style Landscape Renovation Located in the beautiful coastal community of Del Mar, Torrey Pines Landscape Co., Inc. recently finished a spectacular Beach Style Landscape Renovation for a client that complements their coastal environment perfectly. While our company serves a wide variety of coastal communities, including San Diego, Encinitas, La Jolla, and beyond, we were very excited to take on the challenge of transforming an outdated hardscape and soft landscape areas into a vibrant message of the beach. The coastal landscape renovation included a collection of carefully selected native and drought-tolerant plants, such as California poppies, succulents, and ornamental grasses that not only add aesthetic value but also sustainability value. The landscape architect designed a multi-level patio area built with natural sandstone pavers to be a place to enjoy the beach lifestyle for relaxation and entertaining while making improvements to drainage issues sometimes related to coastal properties. In keeping with the beach style aesthetic, we included driftwood accents and boulders placed throughout the landscape to reflect some of the materials you may find on the beach. The challenge was to carefully place the natural materials throughout the existing landscape that is only a short walk from the home. Additionally, we included modern fire pit seating, creating an outdoor casual gathering location for the family to enjoy evenings under the stars. We completed the with an irrigation system with water-saving features that would keep the plants healthy in their new coastal environment. The results met and exceeded all expectations, prompting our clients' enthusiasm embracing a lush, low-maintenance landscape that expressed a love for the beach and enjoyed outdoor living.
