About This Project

Bel Air View by Outside InStyle Located in the exclusive Bel Air hills, the 'Bel Air View' landscape by Outside InStyle is an embodiment of elegance. Our challenge was to create a stunning outdoor room out of an expansive hillside property environment, blending seamlessly with the stunning views of the mountains and the city in the background. The design included a balanced combination of native California plants, drought tolerant landscaping, and refined hardscaping features. Quality materials such as natural stone pavers for the pathways and beautiful flagstone terraces for outdoor seating areas served as attractive gathering spaces. We also used a dynamic water feature made up of a fountain, which adds sound effects and creates a focal feature beneath the beautiful plants surrounding it. One of the unique challenges of the property was the steep slope, which required careful consideration in order to create stability and access on the site. Our team designed the retaining walls with locally sourced stone while also maintaining the natural aesthetics of the landscape. We carefully graded the slope for optimal performance, and selected plants to minimize erosion while maximizing the use of the space. The payoff is a beautiful outdoor space that delights our client. The large seating areas are perfect for relaxation, while the lighting completes the landscape experience, illuminating the for evening use and enhancing the beauty of the design. The 'Bel Air View' demonstrates Outside InStyle's commitment to quality craftsmanship and attention to detail, ensuring a beautiful new landscape that adds value to the property, improves the owner's living experience, and is functional for use all year.
