LA Modern Minimalist by Outside InStyle Located in Los Angeles, the LA Modern Minimalist showcases outdoor beauty through simplicity and style. Outside InStyle started this landscaping journey in one of Los Angeles' most desirable neighborhoods, where the requirement was to form an outdoor oasis with relaxation in harmony with home architecture's contemporary ideals. The design of the presents labor-efficient materials from a specific curated list of plants, including drought-tolerant succulents and native grasses while creating a sustainable space. A series of smooth concrete and natural stone pathways create a linear appeal while leading the observer through the landscape. Additionally, layered lighting has been careful to enhance the modern quality of the lines of minimalist design throughout day or night. Obstructions to form a landscape organic to the land while entwining hardscape that retains sleek modern lines of the property presented major challenges. Outside InStyle worked to find practical solutions, including layering plant systems between site lines of architecture while constructing unique planters that transitioned seamlessly into the hardscape while adding vertical interest without becoming overly stimulating. The solutions implemented began forming an organic balance manmade forms and nature while creating transitional spaces inviting both contemplation and relaxation. The client's reaction to the final outcome was a positive experience, focusing on clean aesthetics, and functional quality. The LA Modern Minimalist landscape is now a retreat of luxury, showcasing genuine aspects of modernity from materials to layout, while illustrating what it means to live in Los Angeles. Outside InStyle and another quality has validated quality and excellence to have lasting impressions within the landscape of Los Angeles.
