About This Project

the Mukwonago Contemporary Outdoor Room with Fireplace Breckenridge Design, Construction & Maintenance is excited to share the Mukwonago Contemporary Outdoor Room . This took outdoor living to the next level for our clients, and is located in Mukwonago, WI. This shows off our commitment to quality, design, and craftsmanship, in and around Brookfield, Elm Grove, and elsewhere in our community. The main feature of the outdoor room is a custom-designed stone fireplace beautifully constructed of natural limestone, quarried in the Midwest. In addition to the contemporary style, the stone fireplace is perfect for a durable, long-lasting material. Around the fireplace we created a generous seating area with built benches and plentiful outdoor furniture for relaxing and conversation. To develop an inviting ambiance, we added soft ambient light that illuminated the area and offered tasteful views of the landscape surrounding our clients home. The also includes an opening from the indoor living space to the outdoor living space with large sliding glass doors opening to a generously landscaped patio. Another challenge we dealt with was the unlevel, steeply sloped lot. The improvements required innovative grading and retaining walls that held back soil and made a vegetation-based visual improvement. These improvements were designed to maintain vitality, included succulent plants and native Midwest plants for low-maintenance, biodiversity, and sustainability. The outdoor room is a unique outdoor destination point for entertaining family, friends, or having quiet evenings by the fire nestled in nature. This is a great design concept to engage our clients. The excitement and joyful comments our clients said to us at completion said it all the quality of our work and extending their expectations. What we believe at Breckenridge Design, Construction & Maintenance is every outdoor space has the opportunity and potential to be an extension of the home, and this surely is an exemplary example of that.
