Modern Sophistication - Szafranski Landscape Architecture Szafranski Landscape Architecture is excited to share “Modern Sophistication,” a remarkable transformation of another outdoor space that seamlessly integrates contemporary design with Oklahoma's natural landscape. From the Tulsa area to Houston, our team has been committed in creating a welcoming oasis that conveys elegance and function. Through thoughtful layout, design, and plant choices, we provided a detail-oriented and sophisticated outdoor living space. The clean-lined geometric patio was constructed with !natural stone pavers as the feature area for relaxation and entertainment. Each side of the patio featured landscapes of ornamental grasses, shrubs, succulents, and low-maintenance drought tolerant plants, optimizing the overall aesthetic style while providing a sustainable solution to the Oklahoma environment. Among our notable design obstacles was the site elevation and sloped terrain adjacent to the house, which required approval for robotically graded areas for the patio and path installation. However, with the skill set of our personable and capable team members, we ultimately graded the terrain while incorporating a tiered garden that added depth and dimension to the overall contemporary landscape plan. These contemporary wall features not only resolved the slope issue by leveraging smaller seating areas within the tiers, but also improved overall usability as comfortable seating zones. Surrounding the garden area featured hidden lighting that added data architecturally to the garden spaces as dusk settled in. The final touch was the intimate water feature that meandered to be a soft highlight focus point to the entry space, inviting tranquility, beauty, and soothing sounds into everyday sensory engagement. The combination of these contributing elements created a sophisticated outdoor living space that exceeded the client's expectations. Modern Sophistication demonstrates Szafranski Landscape Architecture’s commitment to quality of delivery and creativity.
